Hexum was a rising Hollywood stud that was knocking on Superstardom’s door before tragically dying in a freak prop gun accident.
Before that fatal day Hexum had come a long ways from Tenafly, New Jersey where he and his older brother were raised by a struggling single mother.
During that time, he worked as a radio disc jockey, played football, and acted in minor stage roles.
Only a few days after graduation, he moved to New York in 1980 in order to pursue his acting career.
Note: Many of our articles have direct quotes from sources you can cite, within the Wikipedia article! However, he soon gave it up and switched to the Michigan State University in East Lansing.
Hexum has two siblings: brother Zack, also a musician, and sister Angela. Hexum produced the gold-selling soundtrack to the Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore film 50 First Dates, including songs for Seal & Mikey Dread, Dryden Mitchell and Jason Mraz.
The series only lasted one season, mainly because it was shown during the same time-slot as the popular television show with Joan Collins in 1983.
He played a ranchhand who is invited by a modeling agent (Collins) to move to New York and pursue a modeling career.
But do note that it is not possible to be certain of a person's genealogy without a family's cooperation (and/or DNA testing).
